We recently had the opportunity to interview Jason Corbett of Walls of Original Design (W.O.O.D.) as one of our Confident. Fearless. Inspired. guests here at APJ! He’s been a wonderful addition to our C.F.I. alumni, hasn’t he?! We’ve taken some clues out of the things we talked about in his interview and created a space (we believe) he will love! We call it his masculine, mid-century modern, urban escape. If you missed our interview with Jason, you can find it HERE.
What an exciting week it has been! First off, I had a M A J O R interview with a potential client… I should know their decision of working together by next week. Fingers crossed because this will be a fun one! Second, my new iPhone 6s arrived in a pretty little box this Friday morning (need I say more?)! And last but not least, the most exciting part of my week….. I was selected by HGTV as one of twelve finalists in the Big City Digs category of the Fresh Faces of Design competition! EEEEEK! I can’t even begin to explain the flood of happy emotions I’m experiencing.
It’s time to meet our newest Confident. Fearless. Inspired guest: Jason Corbett! From right here in Las Vegas, Jason and his team create wall tiles and small home accessories at Walls of Original Design. We had the chance to chat with him about his product, inspiration, travels and more. What can’t he live without? Let’s find out!
Let’s face it, the dorm room life is a squished life. I was reminded of the fact as I dropped my younger sister off at BYU to start her sophomore year. We arrived at her apartment, took a look at the worn-out cabinets and shelves, entered the bathroom to see that the toilet didn’t flush, and there was mold growing in the corners of the shower. Typical college apartment, right? It doesn’t have to be! With the discovery of some mahogany stain under the kitchen sink, we spruced up damaged areas of the wood, bought some bleach and cotton balls to soak the moldy areas and quickly notified maintenance about the toilet (S.O.S.!) Thanks for the help, mom! With these projects underway, we went to decorating the (under furnished) apartment. Here are a few tips that guided us to making her dorm-like apartment her home for the next few months. We hope you can use and share these tips too!
We’re often looking for a design solution to bring our home or business to the next level. We tend to shy away from the thought of using large scale murals for a variety of reasons, such as the fear of looking tacky, but there’s a classy way of doing it! Here are some installations that prove it can be a great option for all of us.
Earlier this weekend and last weekend we flooded you with tons of pictures from our week at Las Vegas Market! I sure hope you enjoyed viewing them as much as we enjoyed taking them. If you need to catch up, check out Market Roundup: Boutique Home Décor and Celebrating 10 Years Part 1. The fun isn’t over yet though, here are the rest of our findings.
Hats off to Las Vegas Market for hosting quite the party last week! With over 5 million square feet of showroom space to see in five days, we were busy bees. If you missed my Las Vegas Market Tips post, catch up HERE to see how we approached this challenging feat.
There was an entire new floor at Las Vegas Market this year focused on Boutique Home Decor. As we talk with clients and friends about what they need help with in their home, a lot of them say “I need help decorating!” There are so many accessories out there for us to use in every space throughout our home. With all sorts of vendors catering towards home decor at Market, we’re bringing you a few of our favorites-I really think you’ll like!
If you happened to miss our Confident. Fearless. Inspired. interview with Michaela Shallenberger, make sure to check it out HERE. Having such a trendy, industrial and chic home style, we couldn’t resist creating something special just for her. We hope you find this space something you’d love to have in your own home, Michaela. Thanks for spending time with us!
