The color green is right up there on Team LED’s list of “favorite colors to use”, and lucky for us, there is such beautiful product out there to feed our addiction. With St. Patrick’s Day this week, we’re excited to share a few of our favorite ways to use the color GREEN.
Did you know that Pantone’s Color of The Year 2017 is called “Greenery?” It’s true! And we agree, any color of greenery added to your home will refresh, renew, and rejuvenate a space instantly. If keeping plants alive isn’t your thing, we recommend finding budget friendly faux plants at HomeGoods and Target.
Pair a soft velvet texture with a deep, emerald green, and you have our dream sofa. Seriously- what a statement! Choosing colored upholstery can be a tad overwhelming because it’s a little more permanent than a throw pillow or plant, but we can’t sense any future regrets after a purchase like that. Wondering where you can find a green sofa? West Elm has a variety of designs that come in a moss colored velvet. Score!
Wallpaper isn’t just for your grandma’s house. We use wallpaper in every project! Looking to add a funky touch as a focal point to a bedroom or office? Try one of these cool prints from Flavor Paper. To see how we used the Queen Elizabeth wallpaper (below) go HERE.
According to some feng shui experts, green is a great color to add in your kitchen because it promotes digestion. Add pops of green with useful accessories such as this spoon rest, a classic apron, or perhaps a few fun barstools.
If you’re not afraid to make more of a permanent statement, we’d start with a killer backsplash in your kitchen or bathroom. We’re sure color will be here to stay for years to come.
Of course, a minimal and easy way to add some pops of green to your home decor is through accessories. What’s your style? Find a funky green throw pillow HERE, a traditional style HERE or a modern look HERE. Vases, picture frames, coffee table books and candles are other simple accessories to add.
