With spring comes the ushering in of change, and often an overwhelming feeling follows. Who has time to update their home decor every season? Does the task of spring cleaning make you want to go into hiding with your winter boots? Yeah, us too. So team LED has come up with a few Spring Decor Tips to help you create a home you love to live in, without a lot of hassle.
Changing Up Your Accessories
It’s no secret that design takes inspiration from the runway, and we can take a few hints from the collections we’ve seen this year. Tropical prints made their way down the catwalk with some of fashion’s biggest names. If you’re thinking about adding some pattern into your décor, we recommend a bold print. Just like an old outfit can be upgraded with some accessories, any space in your home can react the same way!
Some other accessory trends:
Marble & Metal- the mixture of clean, natural, white marble paired with an industrious yet glamorous metal will be seen as sidetables, trays, bookends or decorative objects.
Looking to add a little Easter decor to your home but the typical ceramic easter bunny and eggs aren’t cutting it for ya? Here are a few DIY easter decor ideas:
Add some pastel colors to splash spring around the house. From colored glasses in your kitchen (we love these blush pink glasses from Ikea) or pulling out one of your favorite pastel-colored coffee table books to adorn your tables (Nasty Galaxy by Sophia Amoruso being a personal LED fave), bust out those pastel accessories you’ve been hiding.
Bleh. Need we say more? However, we’ll leave you with 3 tips that makes a big difference:
2. After walking inside, look down at your floors- tile, wood, grout- clean it all. And don’t be afraid to have a professional come in to do it. Especially if it’s for carpet and rugs.
3. Now look up. Check out your light fixtures, dust those fans off and make sure there’s no spider or dust webs in the corners (especially because of Halloween decor!)
We hope we’ve given you a few helpful tips to make your home spring time ready! Now open up those windows and breathe in some fresh air.
