For the past week I’ve been staying on top of my favorite fashion feeds to absorb all that NYFW has had to offer. Aside from the obvious reason of keeping up with the latest trends, one of the best parts for me is seeing what the shows’ attendees are wearing. Here are the Street Style looks that stole my heart …
With all major holidays comes a flood of relevant reminders, inspiration, and DIY recipes in our social media feeds. Being that I am a visually-drawn person, sites such as Pinterest, Instagram, and Tumblr are my go-tos. In case you’ve forgotten or haven’t been reminded by whichever platforms you follow, Valentine’s Day is coming up in just five short days! While I try and narrow down what romantic and affectionate expressions I’ll be creating for my loved ones… here are some of my favorite Valentine’s Day related PINSPIRATIONS.
One of the blog categories I hope you’ll be looking forward to is “CWO” (Currently Working On) where I share a diary of inspo, mood boards, products, photos and anything else that contributes to the evolvement of my designs and projects. If you want to start from the beginning, check out CWO: Private Residence at the Mandarin Oriental Part 1 HERE.
Last week proved to be a busy one for design professionals alike. With five trade shows to choose from, the second annual Design and Construction Week kept Las Vegas hustling and bustling. My design assistant Amber and I attended Las Vegas Market since our focus is in interior design, decoration, and styling. Over 140 new showrooms were added to the roster, so we had a lot of square footage to cover. Here are the highlights of a few of my favorite products, showrooms, and vignettes.
It’s that time again, Design & Construction Week in Las Vegas! Having just one year under it’s belt, this year is proving to be the biggest and best yet. With five trade shows in five days, yes I said F I V E… Las Vegas is forecasting more than 125,00 design professionals to flood the city. I can’t wait to see all this week has to offer between new products, networking events, and educational opportunities. The best part of all, it takes place in my backyard.
One of the many things in this world that inspires me daily is art, in every form. I refer to my excitement from experiencing this type of stimulation as having an “ART attack.” If you too get weak in the knees from these sort of occurrences … then please read on. I present you with a warning though, enter at your own risk!!
If I’m ever lacking creativity or need a rush of artistic insight, beauty tips, a fashion update, and pretty much anything under the sun… I look to Pinterest. It’s my go-to site and houses over 5,000 ideas I’ve collected since joining. I love the fact that I can easily organize projects, have the ability to “hide” ideas and sources with those sneaky secret boards, as well as share links with friends, family, and even my clients. No matter how busy my week has been, I always fit Pinterest into my schedule. Here are some of my latest pins.
It’s not even Christmas but I can’t help but think of what I’m going to wear in celebration of NYE 2015. Since my boyfriend and I will be ringing in the new year on the Las Vegas Strip, I feel the need to be glamorous! Considering that last year’s festivities attracted more than 320,000 people… it may be difficult to avoid that ever dreaded “Who Wore it Best” situation.
One of the most exciting parts of what I do is witnessing the progression of a project, to keep track of it’s growth on my trusty iPhone camera, and to breathe life to a once dead space. “Currently Working On” will probably be one of my favorite blog categories because I can share the story behind every design. I’m happy to post my first “CWO” blog featuring a project that holds a special place in my heart.
The much anticipated announcement of Pantone’s Color of the Year 2015 was declared last week as Marsala. As Pantone puts it, “Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness.”
