Earlier this weekend and last weekend we flooded you with tons of pictures from our week at Las Vegas Market! I sure hope you enjoyed viewing them as much as we enjoyed taking them. If you need to catch up, check out Market Roundup: Boutique Home Décor and Celebrating 10 Years Part 1. The fun isn’t over yet though, here are the rest of our findings.
I source a majority of my area rugs from Surya, yet I’ve never visited their showroom (crazy I know). I’m really happy I did because I never realized how big it was. I also had no idea how great the pillows, linens and lighting selections were. They also have an amazing new semi-custom art program that I can’t wait to use. Here are just a few of my favorite pieces; packed with plenty of color, pattern, texture and uniqueness. How amazing is the lower left rug made of recycled tires?!! It’s screaming playroom installation to me. Big thanks to my rep April for treating me to an amazing lunch!! Surya you really know how to make your customers feel special.
I love finding new sources for my projects, favorites included: Jaxon by Victoria Richter – how ridiculous is that custom surfboard display doubling as a media cabinet!??, Jamie Durie’s TransTerior collection, GO Home – every other word out of my mouth was “oooh” or “ahhh”, and Blue Ocean Traders with their charming accessories and décor.
I happened upon the Robert James Collection on Instagram… gotta love the power of social media! Meeting Venessa and Erik made the visit all the more special. I like to describe the line as having a Cali-cool vibe, the mixing of metals and wood is perfection. Since I tend to gravitate towards the details in design, I of course fell in love with the inner gold leafing on their Windsong table!
As I’ve said before, the networking possibilities are endless at Market and this one was no different! I loved meeting Kathy from North Carolina and can’t wait to take her up on the offer of a legitimate tour of High Point! If you read my posts on High Point Market 1 and 2, you’ll know my first experience was not quite as extensive as Las Vegas Market. Thank you for the introduction Ruth!
Kathy works with Lexington and treated Ruth and I to a VIP-style tour with their marketing manager Shannon. Every corner we turned I was continually impressed, their collections are gorgeous!
All in all it was the most successful Market I’ve attended to date! Austrie and I were invited to the C5 Launch VIP Lounge Party and rubbed shoulders with some pretty fab designers and leaders in our industry… Christopher Kennedy, Jamie Durie, Christopher Guy, Kelly Edwards, Michel Boyd, Kelli Ryder Lamb to name a few. It was complete with a pink carpet, step and repeat and a pretty cool swag bag. Thank you to Imagine That!, Radko Hudson Organics, CreativeCo-Op and The Great Maier Mercantile for all the goodies. Thanks to Kim, Crissy and Amy from the Las Vegas Market team! Well that’s it til Winter Market at the end of January, stay inspired!
