This year’s Las Vegas Summer Market was full of fantastic moments that made team LED stop and take it all in. We thought it would be fun to share with you our top 10 Market moments of shock and awe, so that you can look out for these stunning pieces in future designs!
Dovetail: I love the organic curve of these light fixtures as well as the use of deep greens in upholstery and plant life. I’ve always loved using color inspiration from nature and the browns and greens in this dining space are the perfect example of how well they all play together.
Noir: A neutral color base and a pops of metallic are still totally in style. Large scale light fixtures mixed with simple art pieces (such as this black crow) make a huge statement in a simple way. This acrylic skull totally caught my attention as well- a simple, yet kind of haunting book end. Team LED has always said that Noir is one of our favorites, see what we said about here!
Resource Decor: This collection by Kelly Hoppen for Resource Decor is a fun spin off a classic mid-century modern look. I love the soft pinks mixed with mustard yellow velvets! The palm print on the rug is a great way to bring a little bit of the outside into your decor without going overboard. Perfect combo!
Jaipur: These gorgeous rugs, varying in pile heights, was an eye catcher, you were drawn in with how unique each one appeared. The natural forms and tones really shine in this bamboo silk material. We love their product so much, that this rug will be making an appearance in our upcoming Southern Highlands Golf Club project.
Neon: Every year, we fall in love with neon signs all over again at Market, this is Vegas after all! In last year‘s Top 10 Market Moment blog, we swooned at the neon astronauts by Andrew Martin for Resource Decor, and this year Accent Decor‘s entry display was highlighted by one of these beauties. Neon signs are a statement piece that can liven up any space.
Christopher Marley Pheromone: I truly believe that each and every one of these pieces are beautiful and unique in their own way, apart from all others beside it. Each creature was chosen because it was in perfect condition, as you can so easily see. What a stellar statement piece any of these works would make in any space.
Zuo Décor: This is an amazing new accessory line, we have been waiting for something like this to come along for some time now! We are so excited to source from this collection.
Christopher Kennedy for Wendover Art: I fell in love with his newest collection immediately, especially the black and white pieces which includes sketches of when he was studying architecture in Europe. Being able to catch up since we last saw one another at the Cambria StyleMaker Summit was so wonderful, and I even had the opportunity to purchase his book Making Midcentury Modern which he so kindly autographed!
Heavy Metal: You won’t hear me complaining about the abundance of metal finishes on literally everything this year, especially the brass hues. TO DIE FOR! This past Winter Market we saw the trend popping up in the showrooms and our love for the metallics was even mentioned in our blog about those Winter Market experiences. One thing is for sure, metal is here to stay.
Social Networking: Having the opportunity to attend and see old friends at two fantastic events was the highlight of Market for me! The Designer Summer Soiree hosted by LV Market and Luxe Interiors + Design magazine was held at Tableau at the Wynn with a Garden Party theme, such a fun time! Kelli Ellis hosted a City Lights Mixer in her newly completed penthouse at the Martin high rise, the design is brilliant!
Once again, Las Vegas Summer Market gave us some gorgeous pieces of inspiration, and many memorable moments with exceptional people. Until next time!
