Art makes the world go round, especially when it’s found in the most unexpected places… like a parking garage! Recently I traveled to Michigan to visit friends. One day we decided to venture out to Downtown Detroit and take in the city’s culture, wow was I impressed! Between the hip and healthy cafes and restaurants, the ultra cool boutiques, and the private tour of Shinola (stay tuned for a post with all those deets!)… I can’t wait to return.
Here are just a few of my favorite stores and experiences for the men in your life, just in time for Father’s Day 2015!! All but one can be found locally in Southern Nevada, now you have no excuse not to give the coolest gifts this year… you’re welcome!
A few weeks ago I interviewed style and fashion blogger Stevie Henderson for the first installment of Confident. Fearless. Inspired. (If you missed it or need a refresher, here you go!) Since then I’ve thought about the style tips she gave us and the décor she said she’d love to have in her home. With Stevie’s suggestions in mind (black, white, simple, minimal patterns and color) I browsed a few of my fave online décor shops and threw together a few things I thought she may like. Here you go Stevie, a little design love All Por Ju! Hope you enjoy!
I spent my Memorial Day different than most, instead of pool parties and BBQs I had the opportunity of visiting Nicole Taylor Sharp and Mark Weinberger on their talk radio show, Spotlight on Vegas Business. What an experience it was! Upon arrival I met a few other local business owners… Dave Olesczuk from Fitbody Bootcamp, Lia from Belia Beauty and Skin Care (such a sweetheart, she donates her time and services to Cancer patients…my Mom will be seeing her soon for an oncology facial!) and finally Ruth Furman of Imagewords, a PR Queen and friend of mine.
A few weeks ago I attended the largest furniture show around, High Point Market in North Carolina. It was a trip full of information, growth and networking! I managed to snap over 140 images from my phone in the one day that Amber and I dedicated to seeing what was new and exciting in the world of interior design and décor. I’ve curated the best of the best for you and I’m sharing them over the course of a few different blogs. If you haven’t had the chance to read Part 1, get caught up HERE.
Hi everyone! I’m Austrie, Lisa’s Design Assistant, and I’m beyond excited about the invitation to be a contributor to this Décor & Style Blog, All Por Ju. (Thanks Lisa!) I just graduated from BYU-Idaho’s Interior Design program this spring and I love the experiences being an Interior Designer brings in the glamorous city of Las Vegas!
I just returned from an amazing trip, I experienced many “firsts” during my travels! My first visit to the state of North Carolina, my first experience at High Point Market, my first mastermind coaching event with one hell of a business woman Terri Taylor (stay tuned for a future post on her and the fearless team she leads), my first time meeting the one and only … K E L L Y W E A R S T L E R ! Need I say more???! I’m still on cloud 9 a week later!
Wishing you and yours an E-G-G-stra pretty Easter! If you’re feeling adventurous or up for a quick DIY project, here are some of my favorite egg designs. For full details, visit my Holiday Pinterest Board.
Since July 2014, I have been working on a one story semi-custom home in the southwest area of Las Vegas. My client contacted me as he was signing documents to purchase the lot. With the opportunity to lay a solid foundation and make decisions that would affect the overall design, I was more than happy to take on the project! Construction started in August, drywall went up in November, and the home was turned over to us by the beginning of this year. That statement alone makes me chuckle because it sounds so quick and simple! If only….
In the wise words of Jenna Lyons, “As far as I’m concerned, leopard is a neutral.” I couldn’t agree more with this statement, my love for the print has been strong since childhood. I must give credit where credit is due and it is because of my adorable grandmother. “Gram,” as we called her, was a fashion forward lady beyond her years! Leopard print was a staple in her wardrobe and I have followed suit. This fierce pattern is chic and always on trend, and not just in your wardrobe…
