Apartment living often means squishing all of your stuff into 800 square feet. While we have tips and tricks for making any space grandeur, these tips are for your smallest spaces that we recently presented to the residents at Elysian West– a luxury apartment complex in Las Vegas.
Every six months the world’s most popular and upcoming design brands make the trek to Las Vegas to showcase their products. We’re so lucky to be right in the center of it all! Market was a stunner (as usual!) with a plethora of new vendors, trends and stylish décor we can’t wait to show you! So without further ado, these are our Top 10 Winter Market Moments!
We’ve talked a lot about color this year! From our Feng Shui tips on our Instagram #AskAPJ posts, to our forecast about trendsetting colors for the upcoming seasons. As usual, we got yo’ back APJ readers! We’re going to make it easy for you, here’s a refresher course:
Last month we had the opportunity of guest blogging for Lexington Home Brands, a special company that we share many values with. Their passion lies in creating beautiful furnishings which not only serve as statement pieces, but have some pretty unique features if you ask us. If you can appreciate great design and never ending inspiration, you too will be a lover of Lexington’s creations.
For most of the country, temperatures have been dropping since late August. For us Las Vegans it’s still in the 80’s. Nonetheless, Fall is just around the corner… this coming Wednesday to be exact. With the change in seasons comes a natural shift in design. Here at APJ we have an idea of which trends should make their way into your home and those that will fade away with summer! Wanna know how? I wish I could say it’s because we’re psychic, but we’re not (boo!). It might have something to do with our huge appetite for design (hello my name is Lisa, I am addicted to Pinterest & Instagram), or possibly it’s because we attended the always popular seminar “Ahead of the Curve” during Las Vegas Market last month…
With the majority of my clientele being of the male population, I have come up with a tried and true formula for a kick ass masculine space-minus the violence of course! Incorporate these fundamental furnishings and any man is sure to love his décor.
Art makes the world go round, especially when it’s found in the most unexpected places… like a parking garage! Recently I traveled to Michigan to visit friends. One day we decided to venture out to Downtown Detroit and take in the city’s culture, wow was I impressed! Between the hip and healthy cafes and restaurants, the ultra cool boutiques, and the private tour of Shinola (stay tuned for a post with all those deets!)… I can’t wait to return.
A few weeks ago I interviewed style and fashion blogger Stevie Henderson for the first installment of Confident. Fearless. Inspired. (If you missed it or need a refresher, here you go!) Since then I’ve thought about the style tips she gave us and the décor she said she’d love to have in her home. With Stevie’s suggestions in mind (black, white, simple, minimal patterns and color) I browsed a few of my fave online décor shops and threw together a few things I thought she may like. Here you go Stevie, a little design love All Por Ju! Hope you enjoy!
A few weeks ago I attended the largest furniture show around, High Point Market in North Carolina. It was a trip full of information, growth and networking! I managed to snap over 140 images from my phone in the one day that Amber and I dedicated to seeing what was new and exciting in the world of interior design and décor. I’ve curated the best of the best for you and I’m sharing them over the course of a few different blogs. If you haven’t had the chance to read Part 1, get caught up HERE.
Since July 2014, I have been working on a one story semi-custom home in the southwest area of Las Vegas. My client contacted me as he was signing documents to purchase the lot. With the opportunity to lay a solid foundation and make decisions that would affect the overall design, I was more than happy to take on the project! Construction started in August, drywall went up in November, and the home was turned over to us by the beginning of this year. That statement alone makes me chuckle because it sounds so quick and simple! If only….
